A win probability from your own record

Your base win rate, adjusted by how you have performed in the tender’s sector and country. A statistical estimate you can explain, not a guess.

An advisor, not an autopilot

On request, the AI advisor weighs the evidence and recommends go, no-go or conditional, with its reasoning. Your team makes the call.

A record of every call

Each decision is saved with its rationale. Tenders you passed on stay in an archive, with the reason and the stage you decided at.

Win probability you can explain

Every opportunity carries a pursuit score: a win probability computed from your organization’s history, starting from your base win rate and adjusted for how you have done in the opportunity’s sector and country. The score lists the factors behind it and a confidence level that reflects how much history backs the estimate.

From the probability, BidderOps derives an expected value for each bid: its value weighted by the chance of winning. Summed across the pipeline, expected value is a far more honest measure than the headline total, because ten long shots and ten near-certainties can share the same face value.

An AI advisor that shows its working

When an opportunity reaches the go/no-go stage, an editor can ask the advisor for a recommendation. It weighs the win probability and your base rate, your track record in the sector and country, the contract value, the time left before the deadline, and your relevant experience, then returns go, no-go or conditional with the key factors.

A conditional recommendation flags a bid that is only viable if specific gaps close, such as a missing partner or key expert. The advisor runs on the model you choose, including a model on your own hardware, and the exact data it receives is published in the documentation.

Clear decision rights

Only members with the can go/no-go permission record the formal decision, and a separate can withdraw permission controls who can pull out of a bid already under way. Recording a decision captures the choice and the rationale, and moves the opportunity to its next stage.

Nothing you passed on is lost

The go/no-go worklist shows every opportunity awaiting a decision, next to an archive of past no-go and withdrawn decisions. The Outcomes page’s “did not bid” archive adds cancelled procurements. Each entry keeps its rationale and the stage it was decided at, so when a similar tender appears next year you can see what you concluded last time and why.

Better decisions over time

When a bid resolves, record the result, the winner, the award value, the loss reason and the lessons learned. Those outcomes sharpen future win probabilities and feed price-to-win benchmarks and competitor profiles; our guide to pricing fee-based tenders explains how price is scored. Questions

Frequently asked questions

How is the win probability calculated?

From your organization’s own history: your base win rate, adjusted by how you have historically performed in the opportunity’s sector and country. It is a statistical estimate rather than an AI output, and it sharpens as you record more outcomes.

What if we have little bid history yet?

The probability stays close to your base rate, and the pursuit score shows a lower confidence level so nobody over-reads it. It becomes more specific as you record outcomes.

Does the AI make the decision for us?

No. The advisor recommends go, no-go or conditional with its reasoning. The decision is recorded by a team member with go/no-go permission, together with the team’s own rationale.

Which AI model does the advisor use?

The one your organization configures for it: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, a model through OpenRouter, or a model on your own server.
